Pakistan International Airlines to induct more planes
KARACHI: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Chairman Nasser N.S. Jaffer has said that four or five more planes are relied upon to be enlisted into the national carrier’s fleet this year.
Reported by Dawn News, addressing a press conference on Thursday, he said the carrier’s administration had enhanced to a vast degree with expansion of 13 new planes and it was meeting every universal standard.
Mr. Nasser said, “We have been punctual as far as the flight schedule is concerned for the past several months. We are fast regaining passengers’ confidence and apart from a better service onboard the ground service has also improved, lead to an increase in our customer base.”
He added that Pakistan International Airlines was set to launch an e-ticketing system for the passengers.
“We have also adopted a zero tolerance policy against corruption to revive the airline and the services of a number of officials have been terminated after charges were proved against them,” he said.
