You will visit a place renowned for its woodcarvings. Carving was a traditional art of the Brahmana caste, and the skills are said to have been a gifts of the gods. Traditionally, carving was limited to temple decorations, dance masks and musical instruments, but on the 1930s carvers began to produce intricate woodcarvings and masks for commercial use. Next you will stop at Gunung Kawi, the ancient monument consisting of temple-like structures, standing in two rows of niches, excavated directly from the rock face. Each shrine is believed to be a memorial to a member of the Balinese royal family. Winding roads further up mountainous region will lead you to Kintamani, spectacular area of Batur. Volcanic area around Mount Batur, because of its geological heritage of international significance, became a member of the Global Geopark Network. Mount Batur itself is a small volcano, but its setting is in the heart of huge crater. Adjacent to the volcano is the large crescent-shaped Lake Batur, all surrounded by high walls of the crater rim. Before returning to your hotel you will visit Pura Tirta Empul. This one of Bali’s most significant temples is the site of holy springs that are believed to have magical powers and the Balinese coming here to bathe for healing and spiritual purpose.
You will visit Bukit Kampial, called also Bukit Doa – “Hill of Prayer”, a unique faith complexes. Side by side on the hill stand places of worship for Hindus, Protestant Christians, Buddhists, Roman Catholic Christians and Muslims. Then drive to the spectacularly located Pura Luhur Uluwatu. On the westernmost tip of the rocky Bukit Peninsula, is one of the six great sanctuaries on the island of Bali. The temple is home to a group of naughty monkeys. Then continue the tour to Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park, an artistic park that is meant to be home to Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue; the full statue and its pedestal building will be standing 150 meters tall with its wings span 64 meters across. So far, you can enjoy the view of 20 meter tall copper statue of the God Wisnu, 8 meters tall statue of Garuda and the statue of Wisnu’s hands.
